Background
I trained at the University of Wales Dental School Cardiff, then had a variety of Hospital posts in Manchester, Mid Glamorgan, Sheffield and Bath before returning to Cardiff for my specialist training in Orthodontics. After a Senior Registrar’s post in Edinburgh I took up my Consultants post at Dorset County Hospital in November 1992.

We have strong teaching links with Bristol with whom our SPR training post is linked.

We have just started training an Orthodontic Therapist to further enhance our service.

I work four days a week.​

Special interests
All consultants within the department treat children with complex orthodontic problems including impacted teeth, missing teeth and severe malalignment. We also treat adults with jaw size discrepancies, who require surgery to improve their bite. As well as children with complex medical/psychological/learning problems.

I am the cleft service coordinator for West Dorset and provide orthodontic services for all patients with cleft deformities in our area this service is linked to the Spiers Cleft service at Salisbury.

All clinics are held in the Orthodontic Department at Dorset County Hospital (Clinic times 9am – 1pm, 2pm – 5pm)

Background
I qualified in dentistry in 1999 and following a year in General Practice entered the hospital service, working as SHOs in Truro, Bristol and Cardiff Dental Hospitals. I carried out specialist training and higher training in orthodontics at DCH and Bristol Dental Hospital and was appointed consultant at DCH in 2008.

Background
I trained as a specialist in orthodontics at both Manchester and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. I have worked as a Consultant Orthodontist at Dorset County Hospital since 2003. 

I am actively involved in teaching and examining at a local, regional and national level.  I am also actively involved in research..
