What do Healthcare Support Wokers do?
Healthcare Support Workers provide compassionate care, helping patients on their
journey back to full health. Their duties include:
- helping patients to move around
- monitoring patients and performing
- basic health checks
- making patients feel comfortable
- washing and dressing patients
- serving meals and helping to feed patients.
Who can apply?
- you must be a minimum of 18 years old at start of the programme
- those who are new to care or have previously worked in a healthcare setting and are wanting to return. We are unable to accept applications from those currently working in a care role.

- insight into NHS careers and learning opportunities, with employability skills training and support
- guaranteed interview for a Healthcare Support Worker role at the end of the programme
- support and guidance for successful scholars to progress into Level 3 qualifications leading to professional registration
- lunch provided as well as reimbursement for travel up to £100.
