Carer Information
It is really important that if you need a carer who knows you well to stay with you during your visit or stay, that they talk about this and agree it with ward staff in advance of your appointment. Your carer could be a family member or a paid carer.

Family carers
If your family wish to be involved in providing some of your care then this needs to be agreed with ward staff. They will need to agree what activities they will support you with and what care will be given to you by hospital staff.
More information is available on our carers page.

Paid carers
If you need your usual carers to provide some of your care then this will need to be agreed with ward staff. As they are paid staff, an agreement will have to be made with the senior manager on duty for the ward.
