Background
Before joining the Trust, I was a locum consultant in paediatric nephrology at St James’s Hospital, Leeds and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. His first consultant post was at the Red Cross War Memorial Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa.

Background
I trained at The Royal Free Hospital in London, and received my nephrology training on the South Thames SPR rotation (Kings, St Georges, Guys, St Helier hospitals). I spent two years as a research fellow at Tulane University, New Orleans, USA, and now work as a Consultant Physician and Nephrologist, as part of the Dorset Renal Service, covering Dorchester. Bournemouth, Poole and Yeovil hospitals.

I am experienced in the management of general medical, general nephrology, acute and chronic kidney disease, renal and combined transplant patients and the management of their immunosuppression. I am involved in the selection, work-up, and counselling of cadaveric, and live donor renal transplants.

Special interests
Acute kidney injury.
Cardiorenal failure.

New treatments introduced
As a team we have been involved in the combined pancreas/kidney transplant program at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and refer and manage patients jointly.
