Background
I trained at Peninsula Medical School and completed my Foundation Training in the Southwest. I undertook my speciality training in Medical Microbiology and Virology in Yorkshire and The Humber region, working in Leeds, York and Hull.
On completion of my training I returned to the south west and have worked as a Consultant in locum and substantive posts in Dorset and Devon. I have been at Dorset County Hospital since January 2021.

Background
I have worked as a microbiology consultant at DCH since 2012. I was initially the lead doctor for infection control and since 2015 I have been the laboratory lead and clinical lead for the department.
Prior to DCH, as well as completing specialist training in Medical Microbiology and Virology in Brighton/ Worthing/ Chichester/Redhill, I completed a specialist attachment in Public Health Microbiology at PHE Centre for Infections (Colindale), and spent a year as a clinical research fellow with Oxford Vaccine Group working on a typhoid vaccine trial.
