Skills Bootcamp in Health and Social Care
Our Skills Bootcamp in Health and Social Care is designed to equip learners with the essential skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for a successful career in the health and social care sector.
It aligns with the Care Certificate requirements, covering essential topics such as dementia care, person-centred care, safeguarding, moving and handling, first aid, mental health awareness, nutrition and data confidentiality.
You will find out what it is like to work in the sector, the wide range of job opportunities available and meet local employers.
The Skills Bootcamp in Health and Social Care for 2025 has finished. Dates for 2026 will be published in due course.

Entry requirements for Skills Bootcamps
To complete a Skills Bootcamp, you must:
- be aged 19 or over
- have the right to live and work in the UK
- live in Dorset or Somerset
- have evidence of secondary education to include an understanding of literacy and numeracy
- be able to speak a level of English as necessary to undertake the programme
- have a willingness to learn and be committed to completing the full Skills Bootcamp.
